Qui est « Quatres Langues »? le Luambo du Grand Nord
De son vrai nom Gervais Paluku VikwireNé à Ndeko, Luotu, Territoire de Lubero, en 1949,Etudes faites : 5 ième Primaire en 1960.Marié depuis 1969, à Madame Elizabeth Kahambu de sobriquet « Femme Noire », femme fervente légionnaire, et père de 13 enfants légitimes avec sa femme de mariage dont 4 sont à nos jours déjà décédés. De ces enfants, le premier est né en 1971 et la dernière, une fille du nom de Kalivanda fait la 5ième année primaire à l’Ecole Primaire Muthambi de Luotu.
Dès son très jeune âge, il a évolué comme élite, très brillant en classe, ce qui lui a valu régulièrement la désignation comme chef de classe tout au long de son parcours scolaire.Malheureusement, suite aux maux d’yeux fréquents depuis son bas âge, Quatre Langes abandonna ses études au niveau de la 5ième année Primaire en 1960. Quatre Langues (parce qu’il chante dans quatre langues : Kinande, Kiswahili, Français, Lingala) est l’artiste musicien de la communauté Nande, le plus célèbre de tous les musiciens Nande de toutes les générations. Pour cela, d’aucuns le surnomme «LUAMBO DE BENI-LUBERO»Comme tous les enfants Nande de Luotu des années 1960-1970, Quatre langues a été naturellement cultivateur de café pour sa survie et celle de ses enfants. Parce que d’après lui cette culture de café lui a permis de répondre à ses obligations les plus élémentaires : La Nourriture pour ses enfants. Pour lui, « quelques soit l’importance du chiffre d’affaires, des biens meubles et immeubles, voitures, etc, qu’un homme peut posséder, son besoin élémentaire est la nourriture, la même nourriture qu’on trouve au village de Luotu. Sans nourriture, toute richesse est nulle. Il le dit en ces termes : Tout travail doit avoir pour objectif « Eloko ya kudamé ezuama », traduit en swahili par lui-même « Furaha ya mutoto ni kula », en Français, « A quoi manger, commencement de la vie » ou « Au contraire de damage, deux jours à cinq jours, bien savoir que c’est la mort qui vous cherche ». Tout ça pour souligner l’importance du travail et le rôle de la nourriture.
Mr Quatre langues s’est intéressé à la musique depuis 1965 à 16 ans d’âge. D’abord avec comme instrument musical le « ekibulenge » puis « akaghovoghovo ». Petit à petit, il s’est taillé une guitare avec laquelle il s’est exercé pour devenir le musicien-troubadour le plus sollicitée à travers tous les coins de Beni- lubero, lors des cérémonie de mariages, de couronnement des chefs coutumiers, des sacrifices « ovuhere » et cela depuis les années 1967. Aujourd’hui, plusieurs medias le sollicitent pour sa musique, son histoire, et pour l’industrie de divertissement.
Parlant de son surnom de « Quatre langues » ou « Luambo de Butembo » , il dit ce qui suit :1. A tout seigneur tout honneur, le KINANDE est ma langue maternelle2. Le KISWAHILI je l’ai appris pour percer dans le milieu urbain de Butembo dans l’environnement de l’axe Katwa-Luotu- Magherya-Masereka- Kyondo-Isale, où la langue la plus parlée reste le Kinande.3. Mon FRANÇAIS est celui de mes cinq ans de l’école primaire pendant la colonisation belge, à Luotu mon village natal.4. Le LINGALA je l’ai appris sans maître à partir de mon poste de radio où je suivais des émissions de la radio Bukavu, Bunia, et Kinshasa, notamment les transmissions des discours du Président Mobutu.Quatre Langues n’a jamais quitté l’espace Beni-Lubero. Au Nord, il s’est arrêté à Oïcha. Au Sud, il n’a jamais dépassé la cité de Kirumba. Pourquoi a-t-il choisi de chanter en quatre langues ? D’après Mr « Quatre langues », le feu musicien Luambo en chantant sa musique « Mario » aurait qualifié l’homme Mario d’insensé comme « les Wanande », chose qui l’a insulté. Il a interprété ces mots du musicien luambo comme une injure liée au fait que les Wanande ne chantent uniquement qu’en Kinande, une langue de province. D’où sa décision d’utiliser les 4 langues dont le lingala pour se faire connaitre au-delà du Nord-Kivu.D’après Mr « Quatre Langues » Mario veut dire « kalume tund’omuliro » pour dire que dans un foyer où l’homme est Mario, c’est l’homme qui est chargé des travaux ménagers à l’instar d’une bonne à tout faire. Quatre Langue a beaucoup d’estime pour sa femme Elizabeth Kahambu, une légionnaire de grande renommée dans sa localité de Luotu et l’appelle à tout moment à chaque fois qu’il chante « Femme Noire ». C’est une épouse qui le soutien beaucoup pour la scolarisation de ses enfants dont la dernière « akatungo » ou Mademoiselle Kalivanda, fait la 5ième année primaire à l’EP Muthambi de Luotu au cours de cet exercice 2009-2010 avec environ 12 ans d’âge. Pourquoi sa femme de sobriquet « Femme Noire » ? Elle est tout simplement de teint sombre, gentille et hospitalière. Dans le cadre de ses humours, Quatre langues dit avoir effectué des recherches au près d’une population diversifiée pour savoir s’il avait fait un bon choix en prenant pour épouse Mme Elizabeth, une femme de teint sombre ‘Femme Noire ». Ses recherches auprès de divers sages de la région sur les critères de la belle femme ont conduit aux réponses suivantes :1. ASUMANI, un artiste musicien Yira qui vivait à Malende et décédé il y a quelques années avait dit ce qui suit : « avalwana vatahaye kitya kitya, omukali simuli mutokoro » pour dire « Que les jeunes épousent n’importe quelle femme, parce que parmi les femmes il n’y a pas de moins bonnes ». Quatre Langues dit avoir donné 15/20 soit 75% à Asumani. Il ne lui a pas donné100 % parce que en disant cela aux femmes, elles risquent de se donner trop d’importance et sous-estimer leurs maris. 2. KITHONGA, l’artiste musicien de l’Orchestre « Amaghoye » d’Isale-Biambe répondit ceci à Quatre Langues au sujet de la belle femme: « Avakali ni rungi nguma omomivere y’osi » pour dire « les femmes sont les mêmes dans tous les aspects ». Cette réponse à valu à Kithonga 20 point sur 20 soit 100%.3. Kabaliya, l’artiste musicien Yira basé à Luotu. D’après celui-ci « omukali mweru mweru s’yalikeng’iva wiwe » ce qui veut dire en français : « la femme brune ne respecte pas son mari ». Cette réponse a valu à Kabaliya 15/20 soit 75% de points. Le chercheur Quatre Langues a pensé qu’en vulgarisant ce genre de message, on risque de verser dans une campagne diffamatoire contre les femmes brunes. Ce qui n’est pas bon. 4. En Afrique de l’est, Quatre langues a fait ses enquêtes au près des kenyans de Nairobi : Ceux-ci lui ont répondu que « Uzuri wa mwanamuke sio urembo. Ni tabia njoo », autrement dit, « la bonté d’une femme n’est pas sa beauté mais son caractère » (Traduction de Quatre Langues). Aux kenyans, Quatre Langues a donné la cote de 20/20 soit 100%. 5. A Kinshasa, Quatre Langes a enquêté auprès de Luambo Makiadi et de Pepé Kallé Yambanya. Ces deux baobabs kinois ont répondu : « Bolingo ya mwasi mpo na kitoko te » pour dire « l’amour pour une femme ne dépend pas de sa beauté » (traduction de Quatre Langues). Bonne réponse dit Quatre Langues. Mention : 20/20 soit 100% à ces chanteurs kinois. A l’issu de toutes ses enquêtés, Quatre Langues a conclu que « Noires ou Brunes, toutes les femmes sont les mêmes et que « Akili njoo mutu»( C’est la sagesse d’une femme qui compte). Et c’est en vertu de ce critère qu’il avait choisi d’épouser Elizabeth, « Femme Noire », une très sage femme. Dans son dernier album intitulé « Elivere lya Masika » (La Mamelle de Masika), Quatre Langues loue sa Femme Noire en disant, Même vieillie, la mamelle de Femme Noire continue à me tromper. Quelques compositions (publiées à Butembo sur CD et DVD par Image Pro-)– Erivere lya masika ( le Hit Parade actuel de Beni-Lubero)– Namayirindi càd -namayir’indi, omuraghane w’aghe akine mulere ( Kinande) – nifanye nini abala yangu angali mutoto (kiswahili ou Kingwana) – que ferais- je ma concubine étant encore petite (Français) – Nasala nini, mwasi nangayi azali muke » (Lingala) – Ekyomarijeanne, une femme brune et amoureuse ( Marie Jeanne, une femme brune et amoureuse)-Akanyumba kavambute (La maisonnette des pygmées) .
Paroles chantées par Quatre Langues pour lutter contre l’immoralité–
« Avany’e Mabambi Vakakola Omomboka Ya Va Saiba » (Les gens de Mabambi touchent dans la sauce des visiteurs = Par ces paroles, Quatre Langues stigmatisent les malins garçons qui couchent avec des fiancées d’autrui en préparation de leur mariage en échange avec des cuvettes, etc.). – « Avakahandir’ovokwe ivasigh’ovuhoti vw’erire » ( Ceux qui mettent des supports sur des champignons qui naturellement poussent bien avec leurs tiges solides au lieu des haricots qui nécessitent obligatoirement des supports pour s’en pendre aux hommes mariés qui couchent avec des mineures au lieu de coucher avec leurs épouses adaptées à eux ». A part la musique, Quatre Langues confectionne des cages pour lapins. C’est ce metier qui lui permet de vivre au quotidien dit-il. Sa Musique étant une activité qu’il exerce par intermittence, et pas toujours au moment où il a besoin d’argent. Parmi ses inventions en technologie, Quatre Langue est celui qui a introduit en Ville de Butembo, la toute première charrette capable de déplacer « 2 fûts d’huile ». Il se dit fier de cette invention qui avait contribué à la réduction du chômage des jeunes en ville de Butembo.
Aujourd’hui, Quatre Langues cherche un sponsor pour immortaliser son œuvre musicale pour les générations futures. C’est ainsi qu’il demande aux lecteurs de Beni-Lubero de lui chercher un sponsor ou de le connecter au Ministère de la Culture et Art de la R.D. Congo pour qu’un jour il se produise dans la capitale congolaise, ou d’autres grands de sa génération comme Luambo Makiadi, Peppe Kalle Yambanya qu’il admire beaucoup ont évolué dans le temps. La balle est dans le camp de Jeanne Kavira Mapera, Actuelle Ministre de la Culture et Art.
