Aujourd’hui président urbain de l’AFDC ville de Goma,Maître Eric Birindwa n’est pas un parvenu dans la nouvelle élite intellectuelle et politique de notre époque.Né le 18 juillet 1980,ses parents lui garantirent une éducation en l’inscrivant dans les écoles prestigieuses .Après un brillant cursus à l’école primaire ,il sanctionna la fin de son parcours secondaire au collège Mwanga par l’obtention d’un diplôme portant mention distinction en Latin Philo. Né d’un père brigadier judiciaire et d’une mère dévouée à la vie chrétienne ,Maître Eric Birindwa Nyamazi passe 5 ans d’études universitaires à l’Université de Goma,première promotion en faculté de droit où il distingue 5 fois de suite avec pour conséquence la rétention au corps académique en qualité d’assistant.Forgé dans sa passion par les éminents professeurs Bibombe Mwamba Bonaventure, Bokako Baotolinga Édouard et Zacharie Ntumba ,l’actuel chef des travaux marque les esprits de ses étudiants par sa qualité d’enseignant.
«J’ai toujours donné le meilleur de moi même en tant qu’enseignant et cela me réconforte quand je vois certains ministres, députés, magistrats, avocats et autres cadres à qui j’ai donné cours et qui emergent dans la societe faisant preuve d’un savoir faire», s’exprime le chef de travaux Eric Birindwa,sur un ton détendu.
A l’Université ,il occupe des postes de responsabilité qui lui sont confiées par les autorités académiques.Eric Birindwa fut d’abord secrétaire interdépartemental chargé de la recherche à la faculté de droit de l’UNIGOM ensuite il fut chargé de l’enseignement dans la même faculté avant de devenir vice doyen chargé de l’enseignement.Après le décès du professeur petit Freddy Ruriho Kibambazi, alors doyen de la faculté de droit Eric Birindwa fit appelé a assumer l’intérim.
Il sera nommé par arrêté ministériel, chef de travaux a l’Université de Goma.
En 2005 Me Éric Birindwa postule au barreau .Il fera partie de la première promotion qui passe le test au barreau de Goma , test qu’il reussit et prête serment en qualité d’avocat stagiaire dans le cabinet Mudumbi.
Après deux ans de stage il satisfait au test d’aptitude professionnelle et passe au tableau de l’ordre en renouvelant son serment.
Dans sa casquette d’avocat il jouit très vite de la confiance de ses pairs qui le hissent par élection au conseil de l’ordre comme membre permanent .
Au conseil de l’ordre Me Eric Birindwa exerce successivement les fonctions de secrétaire adjoint, trésorier adjoint et aujourd’hui au sein de la même structure il est trésorier titulaire de l’ordre et président de la commission de recherche, études et publication du barreau de Goma.En disant le droit,Me Éric Birindwa défend sans ambage les populations défavorisées.
«Je compte poursuivre le combat de la défense des intérêts de la population de Goma et les opprimés car c’est depuis que j’ai preté serment que j’ai eu cette vocation», lâche Me Éric Birindwa.
Trois passions conciliées, Me Eric Birindwa est aussi acteur politique, C’est en 2012 qu’il adhère au parti polique Alliance des Forces Démocratique du Congo(AFDC), de Modeste Bahati Lukwebo dont il est président urbain.
Fils de Frédéric Nyamazi Kamegere, inspecteur en chef de la brigade judiciaire à Goma, Bukavu,Kavumu et Kindu et de Xaverine Nabideko, Me Eric Birindwa est huitième de sa famille.
Son statut de père de famille dans lequel il est soutenu par son épouse Furaha Chirimwami Lyliane avec qui ils ont 4 enfants ne l’empêche de concilier trois vocations distinctes d’avocat, d’enseignant et de politique engagé pour l’émergence d’une ville qui l’a vu naître.
Me Eric Birindwa estime que la clé de voûte pour reussir c’est le travail.
